Taiwan ramps up tourism sector efforts

In addition to the announcement of a tourist incentive program commencing April 15, Taiwan will also host the 2024 World Indigenous Travel Summit (WITS).

Efforts have been amplified to meet the Tourism Bureau's target of six million visitors to Taiwan in 2023. The tourist incentive project was approved in early-2023 as part of an effort to attract six million visitors to the country during 2023. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, annual tourist numbers were approximately 11 million.
